Why are you cheaper than other websites offering similar services?
Other websites offering services similar to ours are normally part of a larger web company with much higher overheads. We are a small design studio and keep overheads to a minimum. This way we can keep our fees low.
Can you guarantee my domain name?
Although we will make every effort to obtain the domain you are looking for, it is of course subject to availability. If we can't secure the exact name you require we will liaise with you to find the most suitable alternative.
Who will own my domain name?
YOU. Unlike other companies we will register your domain in your name. This way the domain name belongs entirely to you. You can transfer your domain name away from www.actorsites.co.uk any time you wish.
How does the design process work?
When you decide to purchase one of our packages we will contact you and discuss with you what you want to achieve from your site. We will then ask you some questions to establish some design preferences. When we have built your site you will have the opportunity to preview it live on the internet and inform us of any changes you would like us to make. When these changes have been made and you are happy, the design process is complete.
How will I send you my photographs, credits etc?
The quickest and easiest way to send us your photos and performing credits is by email. Photographs should be in a JPEG format. Alternatively you can send us the hard copies of your pictures and we will scan them for you.
If I take the showreel package will you edit my showreel?
No. At present we do not offer showreel editing services. Your showreel must be in a finished format to be inlcuded.
How Long does the design process take?
We like to allow ourselves 14 days to design your site. However, it will often be possible to complete the process in a much shorter time-scale. We will credit your account with any weekly payments made to us while your website is not up and running.
How can I make updates to my site?
Each package comes with ongoing maintenance. All you have to do is email us any alterations and we will ensure the site is updated accordingly. You are entitiled to update your site once a month.
How long will my web package last?
Your website will remain active as long as you continue to make your weekly payment. If your payment isn't met we will make a second attempt to obtain the funds before your account becomes suspended.
Will advertising appear on my site?
No advertising will appear on your site. However actorsites reserve the right to place a very small "designed by actorsites.co.uk" link on the footer of each of your web pages.
What happens if I wish to cancel?
In the unlikely event that you wish to cancel your subscription to actorsites, you can do so at any time.
What happens if I miss a payment?
At actorsites we realise that sometimes oversites happen and you may miss a payment. We allow 2 weeks for you to bring the account up to date. If at the end of two weeks the account is still in arrears we will suspend your website until payment is made. We also reserve the right to charge a £10.00 administration fee to reconnect your site.
